Nathaniel Kaleefey

Judge Engle of the Ottawa County Circuit Court has stated that he dislikes the right of first refusal, because it can be abused when one parent constantly monitors when the other parent is not personally watching the child and then demands the right to have the child when the other parent is away for even an hour. Personally, in cases where the parties do not get along, I like to minimize the amount of interaction that they have, so, in those cases, I prefer a set schedule that cannot be varied.
