More than a year ago, I stopped using my Facebook page because I could not separate my social friends from my business networking. The kinds of things friends might post are not always appropriate to a professional profile.
The New York Times recently noted that Facebook has introduced an easier way to make posts and photos visible only to certain groups. Recent criticism about privacy concerns was one thing motivating Facebook. However, this was also a recognition of the need to separate digitally, the way we live at work and life away from the office.

Now you can use Facebook but still keep your messages private. And you don't have to depend on Facebook privacy settings. Just ‘CLOAK’ your messages with your own private keyword using the free CloakGuard browser plugin.
