One such posting was written by Hon. David Newblatt, a circuit judge and the Presiding Judge of Genesee County Family Court here in Michigan. Judge Newblatt has conceived and made a realtity something called the "Baby Court." The Baby Court is based on a trauma-informed practice with an emphasis on early childhood and has become a model in Michigan.
The results being achieved are wonderful. For example, the national family reunification rate for children under the age of three who are in foster care is 26 percent. Baby Court has boosted reunification to 76 percent. Wow!
