According to the Detroit Free Press, two Michigan counties will try an informal divorce process. This will involve the judge meeting informally with the parties to discuss recommendations for child custody and parenting time. The two counties in this pilot program initiated by the Michigan Supreme Court are Gratiot and Clinton counties.
